Keith Valley Thanks Veterans

Several hundred turned out for the 12th annual Veterans Day breakfast at Keith Valley Middle School.

Jim Doherty has been enjoying breakfast with friends each year for 12 years.

Doherty, 88, a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, had plenty of friends to talk, eat and reminisce with on Monday as several hundred came together for a home-cooked breakfast as part of the 12th annual Keith Valley Middle School Veterans Day breakfast.

State Rep. Todd Stephens (R-151) of Horsham, thanked the veterans for their service and said the popularity of the event continues to build each year.

"It must be growing," Stephens said. "Because every year I park further and further back in the parking lot."

Besides recognizing veterans at the annual breakfast, Vietnam veteran Bill Doyle shared that early plans are underway to construct a veterans monument at Hatboro-Horsham High School that, once complete, would list the names and branches of service for "all who served."
