Asplundh Addition = Sidewalks

The Horsham Township Council is hoping to have easier pedestrian access to a Blair Mill Road shopping center.

Getting to the Horsham Gate shopping center on foot may soon be a bit easier.

The Horsham Township Council in reviewing a land development plan this week for a two-story, 7,300-square-foot addition at the existing Asplundh building on Blair Mill Road, requested that the applicant install a five-foot sidewalk in the front of the property on Blair Mill Road.

"Council had requested that because council is trying to get sidewalks down to the shopping center," Horsham Township Council Manager Bill Walker told Patch.

Neighboring UPS will have a sidewalk leading to the plaza, he said, adding that the adjacent AmeriHealth would be the only business without sidewalks.

The governing body took no action. Walker said the council would consider approval during the Oct. 9 meeting.
