Due to a power outage that delayed the start of a Philadelphia Orchestra concert in 2003, three musicians were able to play in near darkness. Violinists Zachary DePue and Nicolas Kendall and bassist Ranaan Meyer improvised a jam session with tunes such as "Ragtime Annie" and "Orange Blossom Special" for an audience of 5,000 that made the trio an overnight sensation, who call themselves Time for Three. The trio of Curtis Institute of Music alumni performs a wide array of music with elements of classical, country western, gypsy and jazz. Tickets are $20 but students/children are free. http://www.hhef.org/event/time-for-three/
