Seattle's Best Coffee Closes its Doors

The Horsham Road location's last day of business was Feb. 11

Cars pulled into Seattle's Best Coffee's drive thru, a Brinks security vehicle parked in the lot and several customers walked to the front entrance of the Horsham Road location.

All seemed to be business as usual, except for one thing: The store has been closed since last week, Feb. 11 to be exact. Signs taped on tan-colored paper inside all of the store's windows thanked customers for their patronage and support.

Inside the shuttered store Wednesday afternoon, two women, presumably Seattle's Best Coffee employees, worked in the back of the facility, cleaning out. Neither would comment on the closure, or say whether or not the coffee chain - which is owned by Starbucks Corporation - would be relocating.

When asked for a corporate contact who could speak on the location closing, one of the women said, "They don't want to talk either."

Seattle's Best Coffee Spokeswoman Jenny McCabe would not offer any details, other than the obvious.

"This store is closed; there is no more information to share at this time," McCabe said in an e-mail.
