The Wizard of Oz Presented by Dance Elite of Horsham

On June 15th, Dance Elite, recently voted Montco Happenings 2013 Best Dance Studio, will present two performances of its revival of The Wizard of Oz, an original ballet that premiered at the Keswick Theatre in 2001. This is a great story ballet for all ages. Men and boys particularly love it. There are the classic evil characters like the Wicked Witch and her Winged Monkeys, and the heroines, Dorothy and the Good Witch Glinda, and of course the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion. Dance Elite created all of the original choreography, and, combined with the original music by William Monaghan, this production is a fantastic representation of the story of Oz that is loved by so many. William Monaghan is a writer of songs, musical plays, and children’s ballets. Bucks Happening Mag named him “Best Musician in Bucks County” in 2013. The Wizard of Oz will be on June 15 at 11am and 2pm at the Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School Performing Arts Center in Gwynedd Valley, PA. Tickets are $16 for Adults, $12 for Children under 12. Reserved seats can be purchased at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/380981 and tickets will also be available for purchase at the door the day of the shows.
