Witnesses Sought in Hatboro Vehicle Burglaries

Four vehicles parked at the Hatboro Area YMCA were broken into Wednesday evening, police said.

Did you happen to be in the area of the Hatboro YMCA sometime around or after dinner Wednesday night? If so, you may be able to provide details to police about the break-in of four vehicles parked in the Y's lot at 440 S. York Road.  Sometime between 6:55 and 8 p.m., police said the windows of four parked vehicles were smashed with a purse stolen from the interior of each vehicle. Each purse contained a variety of credit cards, cash and personal property.  The interior of a vehicle is not a safe place to store valuables, particularly if they are visible from the exterior, police said.
