Fans Push Eagles: Bring Back the Kelly Green
Local fan starts petition to bring back retro jerseys for The Birds.
Do you miss them? Did you love the Eagles so much more when they were in a kelly green jersey? Many fans have come to dislike the new "midnight green," black/charcoal and white design. Perhaps it is the dismal last season, or maybe it just is a longing for yesteryear, but some fans have decided to do something about it. According to an article on philly.com, "Cranekicker," a local twitter personality, has started a petition to bring back the kelly green uniforms of the past. The Eagles had donned the kelly green (with silver eagles' wings on the helmet) uniforms from 1973 to 1995, according to the Eagles year-by-year history.
