Whether your team is playing or not, everyone looks forward to Super Bowl-style eating. Here are the best places to get game day grub, as well as some easy recipes you can whip up yourself at home.
On Feb. 3, Super Bowl Sunday XLVII will commence. Some people look forward to the game, the funny commercials and the halftime show (Destiny’s Child reunion!). But others are solely there for the wings, the nachos and the pizza—and rightfully so. There’s something about Super Bowl food that gives the day an almost Thanksgiving-like aura. Both events boast a big, communal meal—except on Super Bowl Sunday, it’s usually deep fried and covered in Buffalo sauce. In Horsham and Hatboro, there are plenty of local places that offer gameday food, and restaurants that have special Super Bowl menus. At Lee's Hoagie House in Horsham, guests can indulge in unlimited hoagies, cheesesteaks, wings and fountain sodas for the duration of the game for $25 …

The long-awaited second location of Horsham's Tonelli's Pizza Pub could get underway soon, following next month's zoning hearing board meeting.
Owner Chip Randa has hit another speed bump en route to opening his second Tonelli's Pizza Pub in Horsham Township. Randa, who also owns the roughly 100-seat Easton Road eatery with wife Maura, would like to have three signs at his long-awaited site at 1055-1101 Horsham Road instead of the maximum two signs permitted. One of the signs is planned for the rear of the property, directing customers to the restaurant's takeout area. "It’s important for us to get that sign in the rear of the property," a Tonelli's representative told the Horsham Township Council Monday night during a review of upcoming zoning hearing board applications. Because of the additional sign request and minor infringement of the township's required setback, Randa will …

Owners would like to see the pizza pub open at the site of the former Moon Tavern by Thanksgiving.
It will soon be easier to grab a slice of the “Red and White Wonder” as the Horsham Township Council approved plans for a second Tonelli’s Pizza Pub during Wednesday night’s meeting. The 128-seat restaurant and pub will be situated on Horsham Road near Davis Grove Road at the site of the former Moon Tavern. Plans call for a new entrance, a spruced up façade, additional parking, an expansion of the garage at the rear of the property and the demolition of two homes. At one time, Tonelli's owner Chip Randa had envisioned building a nearly 25,000-square-foot 579-seat "arena" style restaurant. The $2.7 million construction of the much smaller eatery is expected to begin in two to three months, Randa said and continue for four to six months. …

Tonelli's Pizza Pub is holding its annual pizza with Santa event Tuesday at Keith Valley Middle School.
We all know Santa loves his carbs. But, how many cookies can a guy eat? Looking to add some variety to the big guy’s diet – while thanking the community it feeds - Tonelli’s Pizza Pub is again offering its wildly popular pizza with Santa event. Maura Randa, who owns the Horsham eatery of nearly 20 years with her husband, Chip, said she expects to fill 800 bellies Tuesday evening, while giving kids a chance to visit with Santa, indulge in hot chocolate, and yes, feast on cookies. “We feel like if we really give back to the community, people remember that,” she said. “They’re very happy.” The event, which Mrs. Randa said began either nine or 10 years ago, had first started at the restaurant, but because of its popularity, had to be relocated…
