The owner of 332 S. York Road is planning to come before the Hatboro Borough Council in March to talk about a proposal to construct homes on the oft-flooded property.
Before plans advance to build 16 two-story townhouses or apartments in a flood zone, the Hatboro governing body is expected to hear more about the plan in March, officials said. Horizon Property Management LLC, which owns the 332 S. York Road structures housing a handful of car repair shops and Manja pizza shop, was supposed to go before the zoning hearing board last week to seek approval to knock down all but the restaurant on the 1.76-acre parcel to make way for 16 residential units. At the last minute, the owner postponed its appearance at the meeting. An oft-flooded South York Road property could be home to 16 two-story townhouses or apartments if Hatboro’s zoning hearing board grants permission to build in a floodplain. Horizon Property Management LLC, which owns the 332 S. A man, who reportedly has firearms in his possession, had barricaded himself in an apartment in the rear of 217 N. York Road in Hatboro following a domestic dispute.
UPDATE 5 P.M. A 48-year-old Hatboro man is in police custody after allegedly hitting his 22-year-old son Sunday morning and then barricading himself in his apartment at 217 N. York Road for more than an hour, reportedly with firearms. Hatboro Police were dispatched at approximately 11:57 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers met with a 43-year-old Hatboro woman and her son outside of their apartment building. The woman reported that she and her son had been involved in an altercation with her ex-husband who was presently in the apartment. During the altercation, it was reported to police that the ex-husband - who police declined to name - struck his 22-year- old son and was acting in an irrational manner. The man …
