RECALL: Frozen Pizzas

Annie's Homegrown Frozen Pizzas are being recalled for fragments of metal mesh.

Information from US Food and Drug Administration: Annie's Inc. (NYSE:BNNY) has initiated a voluntary recall of Annie's Homegrown Frozen Pizza due to the possible presence of fragments of flexible metal mesh caused by a faulty screen at a third-party flour mill. Affected products are distributed at grocery, mass and natural food stores throughout the United States. All varieties of Annie’s RISING CRUST FROZEN PIZZA with a best by date including and between 09Jan13 and 14Sep13 (January 9, 2013 and September 14, 2013) are affected. RECALL: Target Branded Fleece Pajamas

Target is recalling girls fleece pajamas due to violations of federal flammability standards.

Target is recalling Circo girls fleece pajamas due to violations of federal flammability standards. The one piece feet pajamas were sold in sizes 12 months to girls XL and were sold in three prints: purple owl, pink leopard, and blue doodle. The pajamas were sold exclusively at Target and Target.com nationwide between August 2012 and october 2012. Consumers should immediate stop using the pajamas and return them to any Target store for a full refund.

RECALL: Infant Sleepers Due to Mold Exposure

Fisher-Price is recalling Newborn Rock n' Play Sleepers for potential mold growth under the removable seat cushion.

Fischer-Price is recalling approximately 800,000 Newborn Rock n' Play Sleepers. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall, "Mold can develop between the removable seat cushion and the hard plastic frame of the sleeper when it remains wet/moist or is infrequently cleaned, posing a risk of exposure to mold to infants sleeping in the product." Mold growth is not present at time of purchase but can grow after use of the product. There have been 600 reports of mold on the product. The product has been sold in mass merchandise stores nationwide and online since September 2009. Consumers should check for mold under the removable seat cushion. RECALL: Hug N' Tug Toys Recalled for Choking Hazard

Sassy-branded and Carter's-branded Hug N' Tug toys are being recalled for a potential choking hazard.

Carter's-branded and Sassy-branded Hug N' Tug Baby toys are being recalled for a potential choking hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the beads inside the clear plastic ball at the center of the toy can be released and pose a choking hazard to young children. There have been 12 reports for the beads being released on the Sassy-branded toys. There have been no reports to date on the Carter's-branded toys. The toys were sold at mass merchandisers such as Toys R Us and Target, specialty stores, and online retailers such as Amazon.com between July 2012 and October 2012 for the Sassy-branded models and from August 2011 and October 2012 for the Carter's-branded models. RECALL: Top Loading Washing Machines for Risk of Major Injury

LG and Kenmore Elite top loading washing machines are being recalled for posing a risk of major injury.

LG is recalling approximately 457,000 of its top loading washing machines due to risk of major injury. According to the recall notice, an unbalanced load can cause the washing machine to shake excessively and the drum to come loose during use, posing a risk to consumers and a risk to property damage in the surrounding area. There have been at least 343 reports of machines vibrating excessively, of which 187 have involved minor property damage. The recall includes three LG and three Kenmore Elite brand, top-loading washing machines manufactured between February 2010 and November 2011 and come in beige, white and graphite steel colors. I am assuming that this is the HE type washers. We have one. When we bought ours we were told that the small HE washers could not wash blankets and other large items at all. We bought a large one and we have had no problem washing large items. Once a month we put Affresh in our washer to keep it clean and in good working order. This has worked out well for us. RECALL: Switch-It Stepladder-Stepstool Combination Ladder

The Switch it stepstool-stepladder combination is being recalled for a fall hazard.

Wing Enterprises, maker of the Switch-it Stepladder and Stepstool Combination is recalling the product due to a fall hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall release, when then product is extended, the inner side rails can separate from the outer side rails which can cause the user to fall. There have been nine reports of the ladder become unstable and the user falling and sustaining injuries. The ladders were sold at Home Depot and HomeDepot.com from August 2012 to October 2012. Water Balz, a marble-sized toy, is being recalled for ingestion hazard.

Dunecraft is recalling Water Balz, Growing Skulls, H2O Orbs "Despicable Me" and Fabulous Flowers toys for a serious ingestion hazard. The toys are "marble-sized toys that absorb water and grow up to 400 times their original size. They were sold as Water Balz (round-shape), Growing Skulls (skull-shape), H2O Orbs "Despicable Me" (round-shape) and Fabulous Flowers (flower-shape). They were sold in packages of six in green, yellow, red, blue and black colors" according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice. RECALL: Zicam Extreme Congestion Relief

Zicam Extreme Congestion Relief is being recalled after finding a small amount of Burkholderia cepacia.

Information from the US Food and Drug Administration: Matrixx Initiatives is voluntarily recalling 1 lot of Zicam® Extreme Congestion Relief nasal gel. The company is taking this step after finding a small amount of Burkholderia cepacia in a single sample of the product taken from the affected lot. The problem was detected during a routine review at the manufacturing facility. Tests on additional samples from the same lot have shown no evidence of the organism. Burkholderia cepacia poses little medical risk to healthy individuals. However, Burkholderia cepacia in a nasal spray could cause upper airway colonization and secondarily lead to respiratory infections in individuals with a compromised immune system or those with chronic lung …

RECALL: High-Powered Magnet Toys for Ingestion Hazard

High-Powered Magnet Toys sold by DynoCube are being recalled.

High-powered magnet desk toys, sold by DynoCube and sold exclusively online at Amazon.com are being recalled for an ingestion hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall, "When two or more magnets are swallowed, they can link together inside a child's intestines and clamp onto body tissues, causing intestinal obstructions, perforations, sepsis and death. Internal injury from magnets can pose serious lifelong health effects." While there have been no reported incidents in connection with the DynoCube magnets, there have been 80 reports of incidents involving ingestion with other high powered magnets, including 79 that required seeking medical intervention. RECALL: Homer's All Purpose Bucket Mugs for Fire Hazard

Mugs sold at Home Depot during October are being recalled.

Home Depot is recalling approximately 3,700 mugs sold during October 2012 for fire hazard. The Homer All-Purpose Bucket Mug's silver colored cumulated bucket handle below the rim can spark when used in the microwave, which can pose a fire hazard to consumers, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall. Consumers should stop using the mugs immediately and return it to a Home Depot store for a full refund. Consumer can also contact Home Depot at 877-527-0313 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or online at www.homedepot.com.
