Hatboro Borough Council to appoint parking enforcement officer
Flashing parking meters up and down Hatboro’s main drag is a common sight, according to Police Chief James Gardner. That could soon become a thing of the past as Hatboro Borough Council considers appointing a parking enforcement officer to patrol - and ticket – parking violators. During council’s recent committee meeting, Gardner recommended part-time officer Andrew Hochmuth for the position. The council is expected to take action at its Jan. 24 meeting. Gardner said the police department hasn’t had a dedicated enforcement officer on staff since 1984.
