Keith Valley Middle School and Blair Mill Elementary School were locked down Monday afternoon, according to reports.
An armed subject in the area caused the lockdown of Keith Valley Middle School and Blair Mill Elementary School Monday afternoon, according to the breaking news network. In addition to the schools, the Hatboro-Horsham District Administration Office was briefly locked down Monday afternoon, after emergency officials alerted the district that there was police activity in the area. The incident did not pose a danger to any of the schools, students or staff members, the district said Monday. 'No one was ever in danger' during the 35-minute lockdown, administrators said.
A "suspicious" male who was an unfamiliar face to at least one Hatboro-Horsham High School employee prompted a lockdown at the school Tuesday morning shortly after 9. "One of our high school personnel saw a student they thought was suspicious, or acting suspicious," Hatboro-Horsham School District Superintendent Curtis Griffin told Patch. Initially, the employee wasn't sure if the male in question even attended the high school. "It's typical for our staff to know a lot of the students." The armed robbery is the second reported to police in less than a month.
A 30-year-old mother who resides at the Livingstone apartment complex in Hatboro claimed that she was again robbed at knifepoint in her building. The woman, who Hatboro Police did not name, said the most recent armed robbery occurred Wednesday at about 11:15 a.m. in the common hallway of the apartment building, which is located in the 200 block of East County Line Road. She reported to police that as she was exiting her apartment a male subject forced his way into her apartment and demanded money. The woman alleged that the man obtained a knife from her kitchen, threatened her and cut her with it on her abdomen. The subject allegedly fled after taking a gold necklace from the woman.
