Hatboro Police Make Identity Theft Arrest

Philadelphia woman allegedly used a counterfeit driver's license in an attempt to withdraw money from another person's bank account.

The following information was provided by the Hatboro Police Department. Identity theft (arrest) Regetta T. Spence-Yaqoob, 48, of Philadelphia, was arrested on April 7, at 2:01 p.m., and charged with identity theft and related charges at the TD Bank at 256 S. York Road after police said she attempted to withdraw $4,500 from someone else’s account.  Investigation revealed that she allegedly acquired the banking information for an unsuspecting victim then obtained a high quality counterfeit Pennsylvania driver’s license with the same victim’s information. The alleged scam began unraveling when an alert teller called police after noticing the driver’s license looked brand-new even though it had an “issued” date in 2008. Spence-Yaqoob was …

Pottstown Man Charged with Horsham ID Theft

Police allege that an El Salvador native, living in the U.S. without a resident alien card, used a Wisconsin resident's social security number and date of birth.

A Pottstown man, said to be living in this country illegally, has been charged with identity theft for allegedly providing his Horsham employer with a phony social security number and date of birth.  Juan Santiago Rivera, 29, an El Salvador native, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of identity theft for allegedly using the identifying information of a Racine, Wisconsin resident. Rivera, who police said was living in the U.S. without a resident alien card, was arraigned before Hatboro District Justice Paul Leo. He was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail and a detainer from the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  Horsham Township Police Department's criminal …
