Storm Causes Heavy Damage in Horsham
A quick-moving storm brought wind, rain, and hail that damaged several homes in Horsham. The National Weather Service was called out to investigate the storm.
Strong winds, hail and heavy rains Wednesday wreaked havoc in Horsham, downing power lines and trees in the Propectville section of the township and closing roadways. Horsham Road is closed between Limekiln Pike and Cedar Hill Road. A PECO foreman said the road will be opened by Thursday morning. "All of the sudden the sky turned black and the storm started," said Ross Pasquale of Horsham, describing what he saw Wednesday afternoon. The storm brought down trees and large branches along Horsham Road and in the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, where the cemetery was littered with debris.
