Hatboro Man in Custody After Standoff with Police
A man, who reportedly has firearms in his possession, had barricaded himself in an apartment in the rear of 217 N. York Road in Hatboro following a domestic dispute.
UPDATE 5 P.M. A 48-year-old Hatboro man is in police custody after allegedly hitting his 22-year-old son Sunday morning and then barricading himself in his apartment at 217 N. York Road for more than an hour, reportedly with firearms. Hatboro Police were dispatched at approximately 11:57 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers met with a 43-year-old Hatboro woman and her son outside of their apartment building. The woman reported that she and her son had been involved in an altercation with her ex-husband who was presently in the apartment. During the altercation, it was reported to police that the ex-husband - who police declined to name - struck his 22-year- old son and was acting in an irrational manner. The man …
