Find the cheapest gas in Hatboro and Horsham.

The national average for self-serve gas has increased for ten straight days to the highest price in more than a month, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The national average this for a gallon is $3.588, up 4.9 cents from last week, but still about 14 cents lower than a year ago. But according to the report, the year over year difference will likely continue to fade due to higher crude oil prices and refinery maintenance that decreases supply. In Bucks and Montgomery counties, gas prices went up 5 cents since last week, making the average price $3.530, that’s .3 cents less than a month ago and 25.9 lower than last year’s prices. The Pennsylvania average retail price for a gallon of self-serve actually went down1.4 cents from last week…

Gas Prices Level Out

Find the cheapest gas in Hatboro and Horsham.

After months of a steady decline, gas prices saw the first uptick last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The national average this week for a gallon of gas rose 1.7 cents from last week. In Bucks and Montgomery counties, it went up less than 1 cent, .9, to be exact, making the average price $3.472, that’s 11.4 cents lower than a month ago and 38.3 less than last year’s prices. Since national gas prices peaked at the end of February, motorists nationwide have felt welcome relief at the pump in the form of falling prices, the report states; however, the recent broader increase in retail gas prices has been supported by higher global crude oil prices. Plus, news over the weekend of an Israeli airstrike in Syria raised fresh concerns…

Let's see.... Bush, Cheyney and all those nasty oil men have been gone for over 4 years and the price of crude oil is below what it was 4 years ago.... Somehow, being happy that the price of gas being 100% higher than when Obama took office isn't really something to be thankful for....   more ›

Gas Prices Drop for the Second Week

Find the cheapest gas in Hatboro and Horsham.

The national average for a gallon of gas has dropped 9 cents to begin March, which is opposite of what motorists are used to, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The price increased by 6 cents last year at this time and by 17 cents in 2011. In Bucks and Montgomery counties, gas prices dropped 3.5 cents a gallon to an average of $3.709, the second week in a row to see that decline. It is too soon to say whether retail prices have peaked for the spring, because there is still refinery maintenance to be completed, and much of the country must still transition to summer-blend gasoline, the report states. Yet even if prices do increase, AAA predicts that the national average will likely crest lower and earlier than recent years. The national …

Gas Prices Take a Dip

Find the cheapest gas in Hatboro and Horsham.

Drivers in every state are paying more at the pump than a month ago; however, Pennsylvania drivers are beginning to get some relief, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. Gas prices in the state have dropped 3.4 cents from a week ago and 3.5 cents in Bucks and Montgomery counties. With “spot” gasoline prices (gasoline sold for immediate payment and delivery) also dropping dramatically across the country, it is likely that retail prices will continue to fall in the coming days, the report states. These recent declines and the fact that the national retail average has fallen below the year-ago price supports AAA’s prediction that gas prices will peak this spring at a lower level than recent years. Locally, the average price for a gallon of …

Gas Prices Remain Steady this Week

Find the cheapest gas in Hatboro and Horsham.

In the last month, gas prices have jumped about 30 cents in Bucks and Montgomery, but this last week saw little change, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The surge in gasoline prices has been driven somewhat by rising crude oil prices but more directly because of refinery maintenance issues. This has meant less gasoline being produced and fewer supplies, which has pushed prices higher. Locally, the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Bucks and Montgomery is $3.779, up .7 cents since last week, 30.5 cents higher than a month ago and 4.5 cents higher than a year ago. In Pennsylvania, the average price of self-serve gasoline is now $3.799 per gallon, up 2.6 cents since last week. Nearby, the cheapest price for …

Gas Prices Jump nearly 20 Cents in a Week

Find the cheapest gas in Hatboro and Horsham.

The average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Bucks and Montgomery spiked 17.8 cents since last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. That increase since last Monday is the most dramatic one-week spike in nearly two years, the report states.  The price surge was largely the result of higher crude oil prices and the “rubber-banding” of midcontinent retail gasoline prices, which fell dramatically to end the year and are now swinging back up. Locally, the price per gallon average is $3.670. The national average went up 16.9 cents  from a week ago to $3.533 and the Pennsylvania average increased 13.7 cents to $3.670. Nearby, the cheapest price for regular is $3.64 at the Sunoco in Hatboro and Wawa, 1510 Easton Road in …
