The Horsham Township Police are seeking a white female who was seen on video surveillance allegedly using a credit card that authorities said had been stolen during an armed robbery.
The Horsham Township Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who they say was caught on video surveillance on several occasions using a credit card that had been stolen earlier this month during an armed robbery. The white female, who appears to be wearing glasses in an image shared by the police, allegedly used the stolen credit card at a number of businesses and a bank in the lower Bucks County areas of Bensalem, Bristol, Croydon and Morrisville. It is not clear if the woman was involved in the alleged armed robbery, which police said resulted in the credit card being stolen. Following the cancellation of First Friday; Wawa’s plans to demolish historic buildings to construct a new store; and a pending sale of the Big Marty’s property, locals are at odds over the reality of Hatboro’s downtown and what it could or should be.
When you envision a “vibrant downtown” are tattoo parlors, cash for gold stores and tobacco shops part of the landscape? For Hatboro Borough Councilman Bill Tompkins, the answer is a firm no. “I would like to see something different,” Tompkins said. “(But), a business has to survive. If there’s no market for the business, it won’t survive and it won’t stay there.” Taking in the view of shuttered businesses, for sale signs and recent additions that dot the York Road landscape, Tompkins’ sentiment seems to ring true. Zoning fix? Doing something to tweak that business reality, well, that could be trickier according to Tompkins, who heads up the borough’s zoning, planning and historic preservation committee. A man walked in the store and made statements that indicated he may have had a bomb.
Employees at the CVS on Welsh Road in the Maple Glen section of Horsham Township called police after a man in his late 30s walked into the store and inquired about explosives. “He walked in and asked a CVS employee if he knew what C4 was,” Sgt. Lawrence Bozzomo said. Shortly after 5:30 p.m., arriving police units evacuated the area around the CVS and called the Montgomery County Sheriff Department’s bomb squad unit to investigate the man’s white Toyota, which was parked near the front of the store, according to the sergeant. After a search by bomb squad members, no explosives or weapons were discovered, Bozzomo told Patch.
