Police: Man Robs Hatboro Home, Confronts Victim

Philadelphia man allegedly broke into a Hatboro residence Saturday morning and confronted the elderly homeowner prior to being arrested.

A 25-year-old Philadelphia man who first asked to use the telephone of an elderly Hatboro homeowner allegedly attemped to steal the victim's car, got into a physical altercation with her and took some of her personal property, according to Hatboro Police. Sean S. Tillman, 25, whose last known address is in the 1300 block of West Ruscomb Street in Philadelphia, was arrested Saturday morning and charged with burglary, robbery, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, receiving stolen property, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. Exterminator Charged with Horsham Burglary

A New Britain man is behind bars for his alleged involvement in at least one Horsham Township burglary.

A 53-year-old New Britain man who works as an exterminator has been charged with burglary for allegedly burglarizing a Meetinghouse Road home, Horsham Township Police said.  Scott Wills was arraigned before Judge Zucker and was remanded to Montgomery County Prison in lieu of bail following the Oct. 19 burglary, which occurred at about 12:50 p.m., police said.  Upon responding to the residence, police discovered a rear door with the window smashed out. Police said a neighbor saw someone run toward the woods at the rear of the property.  Officers checked in the immediate area then set up a perimeter. Warminster Man Jailed in Alleged Horsham Burglary

Mark Rebuck has been charged in connection with a Monday evening burglary.

The following information was provided by the Horsham Township Police Department. A 44-year-old Warminster man is behind bars after allegedly committing a burglary in Horsham Monday night.  Mark Rebuck was arrested and charged with burglary and related offenses and was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail following an 8:02 p.m. security alarm Monday, police said.  When Horsham police responded to 719 Dresher Road, officers discovered an unoccupied silver Dodge Ram pickup truck located in the area. Police monitored the truck and at 8:47 p.m. they conducted a traffic stop as the vehicle attempted to leave the area. The resulting investigation led to Rebuck's arrest.

Two Horsham Men Part of Warminster Burglary Sting

In all, Warminster police made a dozen arrests.

Warminster police recently took 12 individuals into custody in connection with numerous recent daytime burglaries that – for the most part – have taken place in the neighborhoods west of York Road. Since the arrests have been made, the burglary rate in Warminster has dropped, police said. Two of those arrested - Walter Lee Williams and Christopher Pulliam - reside in Horsham.  William, 21, of Meetinghouse Road, was arrested and charged with committing a burglary in the 300 block of Hickory Road in Warminster on Jan. 28. Williams was allegedly confronted by the homeowners and fled from the home. He attempted to avoid arrest, police said, but was apprehended Friday. Williams is in Bucks County Prison in lieu of bail. $50K in Tools, Equipment Stolen from Horsham Business

The overnight theft was reported at Tri-County Equipment and Tool Company.

Horsham Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity in the area where an overnight burglary of a commercial business was reported last week.  Police said the burglary at Tri-County Equipment and Tool Co. in the 1100 block of Horsham Road, which is in close proximity to Limekiln Pike, occurred during the overnight hours between Feb. 16 and Feb. 17. The front door glass which faces Horsham Road was broken and various equipment, valued at $50,0000 total, was removed from inside. Items stolen included chainsaws, back pack blowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, tampers, and Makita power tools,  Police said the owners of Tri-County reported that two suspicious males had been in the business on the morning prior to …

Suspect Sought in Horsham Burglary

The Horsham Police said a Butternut Drive home was burglarized Monday.

The Horsham Police Department is cautioning residents to lock their homes and report suspicious persons following a Monday burglary. Police responded to a report of a burglary on Butternut Drive at 3:13 p.m. on Monday. The homeowner told police that he observed a white male in his 20s standing in front of his home just before he entered and discovered the burglary.  Police said the subject was wearing a white, zippered, hooded sweatshirt and carrying an orange backpack. He was approximately 6 feet tall, or possibly taller.

In this day and age...have an Alarm and cameras installed...it doesn't stop them but it does help...We had the Alarm installed for under 300.00, the cameras were a little more....but well worth it. The cameras are very clear and record and you can get still pictures as well. Burglaries, thefts reported.

The following information was provided by the Hatboro Police Department. Burglary (commercial) On Dec. 4, sometime between 7:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., someone burglarized a commercial building in the 100 block of South York Road and stole approximately $20 and two bank cards. The thief gained entry to the building by smashing a window. The incident is still under investigation. Criminal mischief (multiple) On Dec. 4 at 7:35 p.m., officers began investigating reports of criminal mischief to numerous homes. Investigation revealed at least four homes on Windsor Avenue and one home on Madison Avenue were targeted by vandals as well as several parked vehicles. Man Wanted for Hatboro Gun Theft

Police arrest a suspect in conjunction with a Hatboro burglary and attempted sale of stolen guns. Another suspect is being sought.

Police have arrested a man in connection with the attempted sale of numerous stolen assault rifles in the Hatboro and Hatfield area, according to a press release issued by the Montgomery County District Attorney's office.  At the time Robert Johnson, aka “J” was arrested on Monday at 10:30 p.m. for his alleged involvement in the stolen gun sale, police said another suspect, Huett Kendall Johnson, aka “KG,” fled from police and is currently on the run. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.   Authorities allege that the men had tried to sell a collection of firearms which police said had been stolen from a Hatboro apartment sometime between May 29 and June 2. The following firearms were stolen from the victim's residence during a …

Police investigate burglaries on Beatrice Avenue.

A home in the 200 block of Beatrice Avenue was burglarized Friday and another in the vicinity had incurred an attempted break-in, Horsham Police said.  Police said the suspect had entered the basement of one of the homes by cutting a screen to a basement window in the rear of the residence. Another home close by was entered after glass was removed from a basement window frame at the rear of the home. Money and prescription medicine was removed from the home that had been entered, according to police.  Thomas Patterson, 26, was arrested on Sunday and charged with burglary, theft and unauthorized use of an auto. Man admitted to breaking into homes in Hatboro, Upper Moreland

Police have arrested the "brazen" man believed to be responsible for burglarizing five homes in Hatboro and Upper Moreland on Valentine's Day. Gerald F. Sutliff, 29, who Hatboro Police Chief James Gardner said has "no fixed address," but stays in both Philadelphia and Warminster, was arrested on Feb. 16 in connection with four residential burglaries in Hatboro, as well a burglary in Upper Moreland.  Hatboro and Upper Moreland police filed charges against Sutliff in Hatboro District Court on Tuesday stemming from the burglaries, as well as one count of criminal attempt for allegedly attempting to break into a home in the 200 block of East Moreland Avenue on Feb 14.
