Authorities said the masked robber is believed to have been responsible for a bank robbery in Horsham last year.
The FBI is seeking information leading to the identification of a serial bank robber suspected in at least four incidents since last year, including a June 8 robbery of Colonial American Bank in Horsham. The most recent robbery took place on March 30 at the PNC Bank branch located at 1015 South Bethlehem Pike in Ambler, according to authorities. Besides the bank robberies in Horsham and Ambler, the FBI said the suspect is believed to be responsible for the following robberies: In each robbery, the man has covered his face with a black ski mask, or a white pillowcase/sack with eye holes cut out, according to authorities. Local and federal authorities are seeking a gun-wielding suspect said to have robbed the Hatboro branch of TD Bank Friday afternoon. J.J. Police said a white man wearing a clear face mask robbed Vantage Point Bank in Horsham at gunpoint Thursday morning.
Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating the man responsible for an armed robbery at Vantage Point Bank in Horsham Thursday morning. The FBI described the suspect as a white man between 40 to 50 years old, approximately 6'0" tall, with gray hair (in a "bowl" style cut), wearing a tan plaid suit jacket, tan paints, gray shirt, reddish/orange tie, and dark sun glasses. Authorities said he wore white rubber style gloves during the robbery, which occurred at about 9:30 a.m. at Vantage Point Bank, 100 Gibraltar Road. Police said the man entered the bank wearing a full, clear, face mask, drew a black handgun and demanded money from tellers. The FBI and Horsham police are looking for the man who robbed the Colonial American Bank on Welsh Road Friday evening.
The Horsham Township Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance to identify the suspect responsible for the armed robbery of the Colonial American Bank located at 300 Welsh Road in Horsham. At approximately 5:45 p.m. Friday, the subject entered the bank wearing a large-brimmed straw hat, some type of sack or pillowcase over his head with eye holes cut out, sunglasses, dark pants, a suit coat, tie and gloves. The suspect's race is not known. Police said he was 5'7" to 5'11" tall with a heavy/stocky build and was wearing a handgun in a shoulder holster on his right side. The FBI believes that an attempted bank robber arrested on Thursday is the same man responsible for five similar incidents, including one in Warminster on April 11
CBS Philadelphia reports that the FBI believes they have the so-called "Silent Bandit" bank robber in custody. A man was arrested Thursday after he attempted to rob the East Stroudsburg Savings Association Bank in Stroudsburg. Investigators told CBS Philadelphia that they believe he is the same man who robbed at least five other banks since April 3, including the PNC Bank in the Warminster Shop Rite on April 11. According to the FBI, the robberies occurred at banks located inside grocery stores. The man who robbed the PNC Bank located in the Warminster Shop Rite has struck three more banks since the April 11 incident, according to an alert issued by the FBI. His most recent heist happened this morning at a PNC Bank in Flemington, N.J., NBC 10 reports. Surveillance photos posted by the law enforcement agency show a similar looking man robbing another PNC Bank in the Shop Rite in Hopewell, N.J., on April 14 and a QNB Bank inside the Giant grocery store in Richland on April 17. The Huntingdon Valley branch of Wachovia Bank was robbed Tuesday afternoon; suspect flees to Philadelphia on foot
Upper Moreland Police are searching for a white male suspected of robbing the Wachovia Bank in the Marketplace in Huntingdon Valley at 1:15 p.m. today. Police Chief Thomas Nestel said the suspect fled the bank, which is located at 2090 E. County Line Road, with an unverified amount of money in what was described as an older, green Dodge work van. Twenty to 25 minutes after the bank robbery, Bryn Athyn Chief of Police Glenn Coffin saw the van traveling east-bound along Byberry Road, according to Nestel. Police say man tried to rob Citizens Bank in Horsham
Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob the Citizens Bank on Blair Mill and Moreland roads just before 11 a.m. Monday. A white male in his 20s wearing a white baseball hat and gray sweatshirt attempted to rob the bank, which is located in the 200 block of Blair Mill Road in Horsham, according to a police alert entered on Nixle, a Web site designed for the exchange of police and government information.
