A Philadelphia man, who police said 'became upset' with a store employee at the 7-Eleven in Hatboro, returned with a large dog.
A Philadelphia man is behind bars after police said he used a large dog to threaten an employee of the 7-Eleven in Hatboro. Upon responding to a disturbance at the 1 N. York Road convenience store on Jan. 26 at 10:43 p.m., police said Cavon A. Broaddus, 27, of Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with simple assault, possession of a controlled substance, false identification to law enforcement, false reports to law enforcement, and harassment. Police said that Broaddus became upset with a 7-Eleven employee over a matter and left. He then returned to the store with a large dog and threatened the employee, according to police. An Upper Southampton man is charged on multiple counts related to a robbery at the Warminster 7-Eleven last week. Horsham Police said the man is a person of interest in Sunday's robbery of the Moreland Avenue store.
Acting on information provided by an anonymous source, Warminster police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the May 26 robbery of the 7-Eleven at 220 E. Street Road. Sean Paul Foley, 19, of the 400 block of Springfield Road in Upper Southampton, was arraigned by Judge Jean Seaman on multiple counts, including robbery, making terroristic threats, possession of a firearm, simple assault and receiving stolen property. He was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail. Prior to Foley's arrest, Horsham Police had said the description of the suspect sought in the Warminster 7-Eleven robbery matched that of the man who robbed the Moreland Avenue 7-Eleven store in Horsham last weekend. Authorities said the man robbed the Moreland Avenue store Sunday afternoon.
Horsham Police are on the lookout for a white male about five feet seven inches tall who allegedly robbed the 7-Eleven convenience store at 100 Moreland Avenue. Police said the man, who had some facial hair and was wearing a hoodie and dirty jeans during the 2:40 p.m. robbery Sunday, demanded that the clerk give him all the money. The suspect put his right hand into his pocket and made motions indicating he had a weapon, according to police. He then fled the store toward Blair Mill Road. Police said about $300 was taken during the robbery. Surveillance video is not available, police said, because the store's recorder was not working. The suspect is believed to have fled in a vehicle which may have been parked in the rear of the store. …

Police Chief James Gardner recognized Hatboro and Upper Moreland officers involved in the arrest of suspects
Police teamwork may have saved the day last month, or at least aided in the arrest of two suspects charged in connection with a string of knifepoint convenience store robberies. Hatboro Police Chief James Gardner presented officers from his department, as well as Upper Moreland, with commendations Monday for their collaborative efforts in capturing the fleeing alleged robbers. Gardner recognized Hatboro Sgt. John Carr and officers Christopher Swoyer and Alex Bruckner; and Upper Moreland's D squad, led by Sgt. Brian Newhall and officer Matthew Snyder. In honor of its birthday, 7 Eleven is giving out free slurpees today.
In honor of 7 Eleven's 84th birthday, the convenience store will be giving out free slurpees. “Slurpee-brations” and 7 Eleven birthday parties will be held at select stores with music, entertainment, prizes and food sampling, and Slurpee-mobiles will provide free samples at select 7-Eleven stores across the country, according to a press release issued by 7-Eleven. Today only, 7.11-ounce slurpees will be free while supplies last. According to the release, 7 Eleven stores across the U.S. and in Cananda will be giving away up to 5 million slurpees. Yes Sue I totally agree, Karma is a wonderful thing and apparently he almost got his, I don't think the dog had a chance to bite him....however the dog is probably better off not biting him because he looks as if he carries a few diseases himself. As for the heroin dealer yes they should check him out a little more and may find some more dirt on him.   more ›
