Hatboro Little League Scores $11,500 for Upgrades
The borough council agrees to share revenue from a cell tower erected on the little league property
Fencing in disrepair. Lacking or obsolete equipment. Aging roofs. Fields in need of renovations. The list of wish list items for Hatboro Little League is rather lengthy. Volunteers have estimated that the necessary work, if it were all to be carried out, would cost "easily $100,000." Since the volunteer-run youth organization's total budget is $100,000 according to treasurer Tom Harbaugh, therein lies the problem. "We're able to pay our utilities and field maintenance," Harbaugh said, noting that larger improvement projects, like replacing the rusty and bent fencing, is next to impossible.
