Here are some options:

OKTOBERFEST
Where/when: St. Catherine of Siena, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, Saturday at 6 p.m. 
Why go: Enjoy authentic German music and dance, German and domestic beer, kegged root beer, bratwurst, weiswurst wieners and rolls, sauerkraut and fixins. 
Cost: $25 for adults; $10 for kids 4 to 12; free for kids 3 and under.

CRAFT SHOW AND FLEA MARKET
Where/when: Ambler Mennonite Church, 90 East Mt. Pleasant Ave., Ambler
Why go: Shop craft booths, enjoy homemade food and pick up a shoo fly pie. 
Cost: Free to attend

GIRLS BASKETBALL CLINIC
Where/when: 2950 Turnpike Dr., Hatboro, Saturday at 10 a.m. 
Why go: Girls in second- through 10th-grade can step up their game in this six-week basketball clinic.
Cost: $15

'REMEMBER' BOOK SIGNING LAUNCH PARTY
Where/when: The Village Players of Hatboro, 401 Jefferson Ave., Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. 
Why go: Meet local author Lesley Grigg and purchase a copy of her new book, "Remember," while listening to live music and sampling wine and food.
Cost: Free to go

SCOUTFEST
Where/when: 
St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. 
Why go: See what it's like to be part of Scout Troop 39 and shred some documents in the process.
Cost: Donations accepted for shredding.
