YOGA WORKSHOP

Where/when: Nourishing Storm Yoga at Moy Yat Vin Tsun Studio, 209 N. York Road in Hatboro, Saturday from 3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m.

ACRYLIC PAINTING WORKSHOP

Where/when: Michael's Arts and Crafts, 1055 Main St., Warrington, Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m. 

Why go: Participants will learn basic painting tips and techniques such as mixing colors, creating perspective, blending, shadows and lights, and much more. Students will leave class with a finished 9x12 painting.

Cost: $25 plus supplies

GINGERBREAD HOUSE COMPETITION AND DISPLAY

Where/when: Peddler's Village, routes 202 and 263 in Lahaska, through Saturday. 

Why go: See gingerbread houses of all kinds in the Peddler's Village gazebo.

Cost: Free

HOLIDAY LIGHT SHOW

Where/when: Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, every night through Saturday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Why go: See countless light displays and animated holiday scenes in this drive through the farm.

NEW YEAR'S DANCE CELEBRATION

Where/when: Pennypack Elementary School, 130 Spring Ave., Hatboro, Friday at 7 p.m. 

Why go: It's a dance party to celebrate the new year - need we say more?
