$2 Happy Meals, Road Work, Early Dismissal This Week

Enterprise Fire Co. will offer a fire safety program, plus more Hatboro and Horsham happenings this week.

  • McDonald's, 121 N. York Road in Hatboro, in conjunction with Enterprise Fire Co., will offer its third annual fire safety awareness kids night out event Monday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kids can sit in a fire truck, learn fire safety and meet Hatboro's firefighters. All kids meals will be $1.99 plus tax during the event.
  • Horsham will begin milling and paving Central Avenue and Norristown Road (behind Horsham Point Shopping Center) this week. Central Avenue residents are asked to remove their vehicles from the roadway by 7 a.m.
  • Hatboro-Horsham students will be dismissed from school early on Friday.
  • The Hatboro-Horsham School Board will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. at the district's administration building, 229 Meetinghouse Road in Horsham. An agenda has not yet been posted. Check here later to see what matters will come before the board. 
  • The Horsham Township Council will meet on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the municipal building, 1025 Horsham Road. The council is expected to take action on a land development plan for Asplundh, which calls for the addition of sidewalks along Blair Mill Road. The council will also discuss the Route 611 corridor.   • The Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation will award innovative learning grants on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Horsham Athletic Club, 400 Horsham Road. 
  • The Horsham Zoning Hearing Board will meet at the municipal building on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Click here to see an agenda.
  • The Hatboro Zoning Hearing Board meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. at borough hall, 414 S. York Road.
