Philabundance, Phillies Team Up to Fight Hunger

'Phans Feeding Families' is an initiative to fight hunger in the Delaware Valley.

Philabundance, the Phillies and Citizens Bank are working together to help fight hunger with "Phans Feeding Families."

The initiative focuses on feeding families throughout the Delaware Valley, where there are currently 900,000 at risk of hunger, according to Philabundance.

Through Sunday, you can purchase a limited-edition Phans Feeding Families pin for $5 online or at Citizen Bank Park Newsstands and the Majestic Clubhouse Store. The cost will provide 10 meals to people in need.

You can also purchase a package to attend the Phans Feeding Families pre-game fundraiser at Citizens Bank Park, which will take place on Sunday. Each package purchased will help provide 150 meals to families in the Delaware Valley. And while you're doing good for the community, you'll have an opportunity to meet a Phillies player who will be at the event.

Another way to help the cause is to bring a non-perishable food donation to Sunday's Phillies game. Recommended items include plastic jars of peanut butter and jelly and canned foods like pasta, tuna or vegetables.
