Most people are familiar with what's in their own backyards, but when we leave that comfort zone we can get confused. Farmers' markets fit that bill.
Through a new Web site offering SEPTA maps local farmers' markets that are within walking distance to local regional rail, bus, trolley or subway lines are pinpointed. Some even are based at SEPTA stations.

The map certainly is Philadelphia heavy, but also hits markets in towns wherever SEPTA runs lines. That includes Richardson Avenue in Langhorne, the Gay Street Bridge in Phoenixville, and the Swarthmore municipal building.
