Bryn and Dane's Offers Tunes Under the Trees

The Horsham-based eatery is adding variety to its weekly open mic nights with live performances from local musicians.

Palm trees. Fruity drinks. Relaxing songs.

Sound like vacation? Could be if you’re stay-cationing in Horsham and making a stop at for the eatery’s weekly music series, featuring singer/songwriters spliced in with the open mic nights staple for good measure.

“We’re starting to mix it up,” Owner Bryn Davis said of the weekly entertainment, which is staged outside of the Privet Road location, fittingly, under the palm trees. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the free shows.

Easygoing Davis, the 20-something founder of the ‘healthy fast food’ restaurant, always strives for a crowd-pleasing good time, which is why since kicking off the summertime open mic nights in June, he and his team have since branched out to include more variety.

“We’re now pushing in bands and groups and singers as well,” Davis said, adding that he hopes to continue the entertainment through at least fall.

And, for the first time since the Thursday night shows began, Bryn and Dane’s will host Dresher native and Upper Dublin High School grad Josh Harris tonight – a day early from the typical performance night. Harris, an actor of 15 years who performed onstage previously as part of ’s summer theatre program, is doing the show in support of his recently released album, Places I’ve Been.

“I’m excited to finally get to perform for not only my fans but my friends and family,” Harris said in a press release. “Bryn and Dane's is like a home away from home. It’s going to be a great night.”
