Looking to do something fun and local in 2013? Try something from this list.

With the start of a new year comes a new list of things to do around Horsham and Hatboro with your family and friends.

If you didn’t get around to experiencing these places last year, here’s your chance.

HAROLD F. PITCAIRN WINGS OF FREEDOM MUSEUM

The Horsham-based aviation museum, which is situated on Easton Road, got a major boost last year with the addition of a rare PA-8 made locally by Harold F. Pitcairn.

HATBORO LITTLE LEAGUE, HORSHAM LITTLE LEAGUE

The Hatboro ball field, which is situated at Blair Mill and County Line roads, hosts baseball and softball games for several hundred players ages 5 and up.

The Horsham Little League plays its home games at Deep Meadow Park in Horsham Township.

Both leagues host opening day ceremonies in April to kick off the start of the season.

ICE SKATING

Looking to show off some fancy footwork on the ice? Try Wintersport Ice Arena in Willow Grove. You can also take classes offered through Horsham Township's Park and Recreation Department. Click here for more information.

BOWLING

Try for a strike at Thunderbird Lanes in Willow Grove, or Warminster; or Happy Tymes Family Fun Center in Warrington.

FRUIT/VEGETABLE PICKING
