Baseball: Hatters Fall to CB South

Hatboro-Horsham lost to Central Bucks South Thursday.

The Hatters (7-8 overall, 5-6 SOL Continental) gave up five first inning runs to the CB South Titans and couldn't recover as they fell 7-2.

CB South pitcher Ricky Dennis set the tone early, striking out the first three batters of the game and five of the first seven hitters he faced en route to a complete game effort. Dennis allowed just six hits, including a two-run homer by Hatters' senior shortstop Zach Prendergast in the seventh inning, three walks, and struck out nine.

The Titans scored five first inning runs on four hits, including three doubles by Jon Mullin, Ben Moller, and Matt Radwanski. Moller led the offense going 3-4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBIs and a run scored. Radwanski was 2-2 with 2 doubles, a run and an RBI.

Tyler Markovic was strong in relief for the Hatters allowing no runs on four hits during just under three innings.
