Hatboro-Horsham (3-4 overall, 2-2 SOL Continental) got a great outing from Seton Hall commit Zach Prendergast to outduel CB South's (3-1 SOL Continental) Ricky Dennis (a Monmouth commit) in a 6-2 Hatters win Thursday. Prendergast struck out five and allowed six hits in two innings in earning the win. Dennis struck out six and allowed just five hits in five innings.
The Hatters jumped on top 2-0 in the first inning on back-to-back doubles by junior Brad Humski and senior Grant Opalisky (uncommitted for next year). Opalisky (2-3, 2B, 2 RBI, 1 Run) then scored on an error to make it 2-0.
Sophomore Eric Lane was 2-3 with a double and a run scored for the Hatters. Humski and Kevin Barron chipped in RBIs for the Hatters.
Shortstop Ben Moller (a Marist commit) led the Titan offense. He was 2-3 with a run scored.
Senior John Hlywiak pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning to preserve the win for the Hatters.
