Senior Care

Are there senior care centers that will help my dad maintain his strength in a rehab sort of way?  I would prefer if he weren't sitting in his recliner for fourteen hours a day.  I am worried that the senior care center may be more like a hotel?  Is this an incorrect viewpoint?  I really hope I am wrong.  I am just worried about dad.
