Lockdown Lifted at KV

Police activity prompts a lockdown of Keith Valley Middle School Wednesday afternoon.

Police activity in the area of Keith Valley Middle School prompted the school to go on lockdown, according to a district official.

"All of the students at KV are safe," Superintendent Curtis Griffin wrote in an email to Patch. "We received a directive from the police to implement our lockdown procedures as a safety measure due to police activity in the area."

Griffin said the lockdown was lifted at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
