Hatters Stadium Grand Re-Opening, Ribbon Cutting Set for Friday

Hatboro-Horsham High School's stadium will re-open on Friday, Nov. 4, with a ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m.

After much anticipation and , the stadium will re-open this Friday, Nov. 4.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., guests will hear remarks from school board members and Principal Dennis Williams Jr. before the ribbon-cutting at 6:45 p.m.

Over the past few weeks, the topsoil from the stadium was removed and replaced with synthetic turf. Rain in August and September pushed back the artificial turf replacement that was , and therefore the re-opening also had to be delayed.

In addition to the new turf, the stadium's track surrounding the field was resurfaced and an irrigation system was installed. The topsoil that was removed from the stadium is being transferred to other district athletic fields that are used for soccer, field hockey, baseball, softball and lacrosse.

The first home football game of the season will take place shortly after the ribbon-cutting ceremony wraps up. Kick-off for the game against is set for 7 p.m.
