Tamara Stavenski-Bennick, an assistant principal at Hatboro-Horsham High School, was hired as an assistant principal by the Parkland School Board Tuesday night. She will remain in Hatboro-Horsham through mid-August, the district told Patch in a press release.

In the interim, Monica Taylor, assistant superintendent for elementary education, will oversee Crooked Billet Elementary, and Hatboro-Horsham High School Principal Dennis Williams Jr. will oversee Stavenski-Bennick’s duties.

Stavenski-Bennick, of Nazareth, will earn a salary of $90,000, pro-rated, in her new post. Her official start date has not been determined.

Stavenski-Bennick is one of three assistant principals at Hatboro-Horsham High School. According to the district's Web site, Stavenski-Bennick has served in her position for two years and acts as the "house principal" for students in ninth- and 11th-grades.

The district has begun a comprehensive internal and external search, and will work with the Hatboro-Horsham School Board over the coming months to fill both positions in time for the upcoming school year, according to the release.
