Pennypack Elementary School Collection Drive

Two classes of 4th grade student leaders at Pennypack Elementary School, in Hatboro PA, will make a difference in their community by partnering with Impact Thrift Stores to host a collection drive; while focusing on serving the community and being kind to the environment. The 4th graders, who have been organizing the event over the course of the fall semester, will run the entire collection drive event from start to finish.

The 4th Grade students have been selected to participate in Impact Thrift Stores’ “Impact Live Educational Leadership Program”. The Impact Live leadership program was developed as a way to teach students of all ages how to run a business as part of their  service project for the semester. The collection drive is the main component of the Impact Live program because the donated items that the students collect, such as: gently-used clothing, books, furniture and household items, will be sold at Impact Thrift Stores and the money generated will financially support local charities, whose missions support families and children in crisis.
