Keith Valley Challenge

The annual Keith Valley Challenge hockey marathon will be held this year on Feb 11-12. This 17 hour fund-raiser by the 8th Graders at Keith Valley Middle School is said to be the largest event of its kind in the world (Wikipedia).

Members of the GHCC are invited to be a part of this event as a sponsor and by attending a presentation by celebrity puck dropper and former Eagle Vince Papale on Feb 10.

The Keith Valley Challenge began in 1977 in memory of an 8th grade student. Faculty, staff and 8th grade students sponsored a hockey marathon in his memory and pledged to raise money for charity. Through the years, Keith Valley students, in conjunction with the beneficence of the surrounding communities of Hatboro and Horsham have raised over $679,174 (as of 2009) for a variety of charities.
