A vehicle hit Thursday morning causing minor damage to one of the building’s cafeteria doors. No students, staff or employees were injured.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., a recess assistant hit the building with the vehicle — which was drifting at a low speed — while attempting to park in front of the school. The driver was not injured, but paramedics were called to the school as a precautionary measure. Hatboro-Horsham School District officials have determined the incident only caused minor damage to the building, according to a press release distributed by the school district.
Hallowell Elementary School parents were notified via email blast about the incident Thursday afternoon. The accident did not disrupt any of the school’s outdoor or classroom activities.
