Verizon Wireless Helps Kids Affected by Domestic Violence, Hurricane Sandy

Verizon Wireless, Philadelphia Eagle Kurt Coleman, and Swoop Spread Holiday Cheer to Local Children Affected by Domestic Violence and Those Impacted by Hurricane Sandy

Philadelphia Eagle Kurt Coleman and Swoop will make a holiday delivery of backpacks to area children of families affected by domestic violence as part of Verizon Wireless’ annual Packs for Pride initiative. For more than a decade, Verizon Wireless Philadelphia region employees have donated backpacks filled with warm winter hats, scarves, gloves, and socks; personal care items; and toys to make the season a little brighter for children staying at local domestic violence shelters and safe houses during the holidays through Packs for Pride.  Representatives from local domestic violence prevention agencies serving the tri-state area, including Children’s Home of Easton, El Concilio, DE Coalition Against Domestic Violence, People’s Place, Latin American Community Center and Women Against Abuse.
