Patch Readers Weigh in on Region's Best

Patch users voted on everything from florists, to sandwich shops to takeout. Here's what they had to say.

The “Best of” polls across our region were diverse this week, but the opinions in many were quite strong.

Doylestown-area users selected An Enchanted Florist as, well, the best florist. More than 60 percent of voters pushed them to the top.

If you’re looking for the best Chinese takeout in Warminster, voters suggest Kam Wah Chinese Kitchen, though EZ Choice (actually in Hatboro) got a lot of support.

The message in Upper Southampton was very clear. If you want a sandwich, you need to go to Monty's Sandwich Shop. They won in a landslide and those who commented were effusive. “Everything at Montys (sic) is great! You can't go wrong - no matter what you order,” wrote Karen QH. “Friendly staff and nice space to relax and enjoy a meal.”

The voting was heaviest in Hatboro-Horsham, where Quig’s Pizza, which recently reopened in a new location, captured more than 75percent of the nearly 4,500 votes to be declared best takeout. Joe’s Pizza (“Joe's Pizza is truly the best in town!” wrote Sue C. “My family has been enjoying their unique pizza for years!”) had more than 1,000 votes.

In Lower Moreland, Ben & Irv's came out on top for best takeout and the vote for best takeout in Lower Southampton was tight, with Nina’s Pizza II edging Kopper Kettle Tavern by just two percentage points.
