Signs, Signs, Everywhere Political Signs

Do you still have political signs out? Hatboro and Horsham provide 10 days post-election for their removal.

The election is over, but the political signs still clogging the landscape may not convey that message.

In Hatboro and Horsham, municipal sign ordinances provide 10 days post-event (in this case post-election) for the removal of signs, officials said.

Candidates already envisioning re-election campaigns have most likely already collected signs for repurposing.

But, if you still have stragglers on your lawn, instead of sending your signs to the landfill, consider recycling them. Through Nov. 21, Montgomery County is collecting campaign signs for recycling. Close to a dozen drop-off spots are available throughout the county, including Abington Township, Montgomeryville and Fort Washington.

According to a release issued by the county, last year's program collected nearly 8 tons of metal and plastic signs
