PennDOT Driver License, Photo Centers Closed for Columbus Day Holiday

This weekend local drivers license and photo centers will be closed, but motorists can still use online services for renewals.

Were you hoping to take your son or daughter for their driver's license test this weekend?

You'll have to wait at least until Tuesday as the state is closing all driver license and photo centers - including centers in Huntingdon Valley and Norristown - beginning Saturday through Monday, in observance of Columbus Day.

Drivers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services Web site.

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver’s license and photo ID renewals; vehicle registration renewal; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; and exam scheduling.

There are no additional fees for using online services.
