New Horsham Councilman Takes Office

The Horsham Township Council held its reorganization meeting Monday night.

Long before he ran for office, Republican Tom Johnson could be seen in attendance at nearly every Horsham Township Council and Horsham Land Redevelopment Authority meeting.

On Monday night, Johnson officially went from spectator to participant as he was sworn in for his first term on the governing body.

During its reorganization meeting, incumbents W. William Whiteside and Deborah Tustin also took the oath of office for new terms.

The governing body re-elected Mark McCouch as president. Tustin will serve as vice president, Johnson as treasurer, Gregory Nesbitt as secretary and Whiteside as parliamentarian.
