Horsham OKs Several Land Developments

The Horsham Township Council, during its meeting Wednesday, gave the green light to several projects.

The governing body approved a change of use for Abramson Center for Jewish Life, which is located at 1425 Horsham Road, to shift two of its wings to transitional care and rehabilitation, according to Horsham Township Manager Bill Walker. A new entrance, canopy and pavilion will also be put in place, he said. The existing Manor House will shift from its current use as a senior citizens center to physicians' offices.

The council also approved a conditional use application and granted preliminary approval for the , which is situated at 515 Lower State Road. The eight-lot subdivision would eventually be a connecting point for the township's PECO Power Line Trail. The time table for consideration of final land development approval was unknown, Walker said. The proposed housing development has raised concerns from at least one resident who feared that building in the area would disturb the habitat of the Eastern box turtle.

Liberty Property Limited, located on Rock Road, also won approval to make changes to its parking lot configuration, Walker said.
