Hatboro Postpones Tuesday Trash Collection

Hatboro residents who normally have trash and recycling pickup on Tuesday have had collections moved to Wednesday.

With Hurricane Sandy winds whipping, the last thing that Hatboro's Public Works Department needs is to track down garbage blown from can to sidewalk and throughout the borough.

That's why Hatboro opted to move its Tuesday trash and recycling collection from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to Public Works Director and Borough Manager Fred Zollers.

Public Works staff will be working on Tuesday and the borough will be open, Zollers said. Hatboro's Emergency Operations Center will be in place as long as the storm warrants, officials said.
