The borough is hoping to fill a vacancy on the police force.

The Hatboro Borough Council agreed to let extend a job offer to his first choice to fill a vacant slot on the force.

Final approval for the job offer, which at this time is only conditional, will be discussed and more than likely approved at the council's next voting meeting on Monday, March 26.

The new cop will join the force as a patrol officer and make a starting salary of just over $32,000, according to the chief.
