Hatboro Honors Community

A standing-room-only crowd of mostly volunteer firefighters filled Hatboro's borough hall during Monday night's council meeting as officials awarded individuals who lent a hand during last month's natural disaster.  

OUTSTANDING CITIZENSHIP AWARD

• (Charlie Burgess, owner) – Provided dinner for .

• (, owner) – Provided gift certificates to a number of families.

• Village Italian Bistro (Jackie Geiger and Jeff Tarman, owners) – Provided meals to a number of families and emergency workers.

• (Steve Barth, Manager) – Provided a cash donation to the Gefter family.

• (, CFO) – Provided a gift certificate for goods to the Gefter family.

• Valerie Koller (Personal donation) - Provided a cash donation to the Gefter family.

HEROISM AWARD

• from the Pennypack Creek. Without regard for his own safety, he entered the water and attempted to save his neighbor. Both survived this ordeal.
