Hatboro District Court to Move in January

Hatboro's district court is expected to relocate into a new space in January.

Come January, Hatboro District Judge Paul Leo and his court will be able to move into a new space.

A space within Victorian Village, the new home of the borough's district court will be ready for move-in after its Dec. 31 completion date, Council President John Zygmont told Patch.

Leo's court is currently housed in the second floor of the municipal building.

The Hatboro Borough Council recently approved a $9,078 change order–the 20th to date for the project–related to duct work and air-conditioning, according to Zygmont.

In all, the project has grown from its original $292,200 outfitting cost to a contract totaling $332,368.88, according to Borough Manager Fred Zollers.

The council also approved a contract extension for project manager Joseph Zadlo. The governing body voted in May to hire him at a cost of $25,000. Zadlo requested an additional $7,000 because of the extra time the project is taking to complete. It was originally projected to conclude on Sept. 1.
