Second Alarmers Rescue Squad Dedicate 9/11 Monument
Second Alarmers Rescue Squad will honor the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 with the dedication of a 9/11 monument featuring a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.
The monument will be located behind the Whitpain Township Building near the future home of the rescue squad's Emergency Medical Services Facility.
The ceremony will include a procession of emergency responders, the singing of America The Beautiful and the National Anthem, remarks from dignitaries and elected officials, a remembrance of Whitpain firefighter John Kulick, who died in Afghanistan while serving the country, and a 21-gun salute.
