Woman Arrested in Alleged Donation Jar Theft

A Franconia woman suspected of stealing a donation jar from Clayton's Hunting and Fishing in Horsham is behind bars.

Horsham Police have arrested a Franconia woman for allegedly stealing a donation jar from the counter of last month.

Agnes Williams, 41, of Franconia has been arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property for the alleged theft, which police said occurred on . She is currently incarcerated at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment and a hearing on these charges.

Police said the woman had entered the Easton Road store and attempted to sell a single rifle rack made of wood and deer hooves. The store was said to have declined buying the item. Police said the woman, upon leaving the store, removed a donation jar off the counter and concealed it under the rifle rack.
