Victims of Fiery Crash, House Fire Identified

Friends and family paid tribute Wednesday evening to the driver and passenger of a fatal vehicle crash that ended with total destruction of an Upper Moreland home.

Family and friends gathered at 3150 Byberry Road to pay tribute to loved ones who perished in a Tuesday morning that  

Mourners confirmed reports that Wayne Foulke, 27, of Philadelphia, died in the car crash. Traveling with him was Laura Stevens, 26, of the Somerton section of Philadelphia, a woman identified simply as Foulke's "best friend."

Foulke and Stevens died early Tuesday after the vehicle they were traveling in slammed into the home, which is situated in the Hatboro section of Upper Moreland, setting it ablaze. Within 30 minutes, it was engulfed in flames, and by Tuesday evening, cranes knocked down the charred skeleton that was once the home's frame.

The family managed to escape the fire without injury.
